Another Small Boat

Another example of a Boat,Philipinos really are water people and many make their living from the sea as well as their leisure time.

Another Banca..Just a Bigger one.

This pic is another style of Banca..Bigger..and safer.. used more as a Work Horse around the provinces, transporting people and goods and animals. Also used for fishing, larger type fish, including game fish.

Still Travelling..in Philippines.

This boat is called a Banca in most regions of the Philippine Islands.
It has many uses and is used daily by the people lucky enough to be able to afford to buy one and pay for fuel.
The Banca is mainly used for fishing and transport between island groups.
Its hard to believe that a small boat like this might be 100 Klm off shore fishing, then if bad weather comes the fisherman must get back to shore as quickly as possible.
This type of fishing can be extremly dangerous, but the Philipino fisherman have been taught by their forfathers and are very good at handling these small boats in rough seas.
At tourist resorts the owners are more than happy to take visitors around for a fee,as many areas close to land have been fished out and now many fishermen rely on the tourist dollar for a living,a sad but true fact.
